Searches & Enquiries
Publish Date: June 1, 2005

After exchange of Contracts, various searches and enquiries need to be carried out.

In all cases as to outstanding Council and if applicable, Water Rates, Rural Protection rates and Land Tax. These rates and taxes are a charge against the property and must be cleared prior to settlement.

Searches also need to be done to ensure the property is not affected by any outstanding notices.

Depending on the location and nature of the property there are other searches and enquiries which may be deemed necessary.

In the case of a Rural property these can be quite extensive.

We will explain and discuss with you the various searches and enquiries in the initial stage of your consultation with us.
